Rangefinder operation and use
(1) Place the instrument First place the theodolite on the measuring station, after centering and leveling, install the rangefinder mainframe on the theodolite bracket, lock it with the connector fixing screw, insert the battery into the bottom of the mainframe and fasten it. Place the reflective prism at the target point, center it, level it, and orient the mirror surface toward the host.
(2) Observing the vertical angle, air temperature and air pressure Use the theodolite cross wire to aim at the middle of the target plate, and measure the vertical angle α. At the same time, observe and record the readings on the temperature and barometer. Observing the vertical angle, air temperature and air pressure, the purpose is to correct the slope distance measured by the rangefinder, correct the slope, correct the temperature and correct the air pressure, so as to obtain the correct horizontal distance.
(3) Preparing for distance measurement Press the power switch key "PWR" to turn on the machine, the host will self-check and display the original set temperature, air pressure and prism constant value, after the self-check is passed, it will display "good".
If you want to modify the original set value, you can press the "TPC" key to input the temperature, pressure value or prism constant (usually input one by one through the "ENT" key and numeric keys). Under normal circumstances, as long as the same type of reflector is used, the prism constant remains unchanged, while the temperature and air pressure may be different for each observation and need to be reset.
(4) Distance measurement Adjust the horizontal adjustment handwheel (or horizontal fretting screw of theodolite) and the pitch fretting screw of the main engine to make the rangefinder telescope aim at the middle of the prism. In the state of "good", aiming can also be judged according to the sound of the buzzer. The stronger the signal, the louder the sound. Move the rangefinder up, down, left and right to make the sound of the buzzer louder, then the aiming is completed, and "*" appears. ".
After aiming, press the "MSR" key, the host will measure and display the slope distance corrected by temperature, air pressure and prism constant. During the measurement, if the speed of light is blocked or the atmosphere is shaken, the measurement will be temporarily interrupted, and the "*" will disappear at this time, and the automatic measurement will continue after the light intensity is normal; if the beam is interrupted for 30 seconds, the light intensity must be restored, and then press " MSR" key to retest.
The conversion from the slant distance to the horizontal distance is generally carried out on the spot with a range finder. The method is: press the "V/H" key and then input the vertical angle value, and then press the "SHV" key to display the horizontal distance. Press the "SHV" key continuously to display the slope distance, horizontal distance and height difference in sequence.
